General Information: Management, administration staff and Training Officers have now returned to office working and can be contacted as normal on 0191 262 6860 or via email. Training Officers are also contactable during normal working hours via individual company mobiles. In-person college delivery at Tyne Metropolitan has recommenced for both practical workshop and technical certificate delivery
Employers: We have now restarted our employer visits. If your risk assessments allow visitors on-site we will continue to personally visit your apprentices in the workplace. If you have any additional procedures that you would like us to follow then please make your Training Officer aware. If we are unable to visit your premises we will be continuing to conduct our activities remotely and will be reviewing apprentices over the phone or via the internet. For final year engineering apprentices we will be continuing to conduct assessments in order to ensure that they complete succesfully. For those apprentices who would usually attend at Tyne Metropolitan College, the college has restarted delivery of both practical workshop and level 3 technical certificate delivery. All apprentices should attend on their usual days.
We are continuing to support employers who wish to recruit apprentices. We have high quality candidates who have been pre-matched to your company requirements in anticipation of a live vacancy. If you would like to view these individuals who have been pre-matched to your business then please contact Andrew Thorpe on andrew.thorpe@tynenorthtraining.co.uk
Apprentices: Tyne North Training are continuing to support our apprentices. We have recommenced in-person visits and will be conducting our review and assessment activities face to face as long as your employer risk assessments permit this. If we are unable to visit your employer premises we will be continuing to conduct our activities remotely either via phone or the internet. For those learners who would usually attend at Tyne Metropolitan College, the college has restarted all practical workshop and level 3 technical certificate delivery. You should be attending on your regular college days. Please keep TNT updated with any changes to your apprenticeship or employment and make sure that you follow your employer’s safety measures.
Applying for an apprenticeship this year: Tyne North Training’s Engineering Apprenticeship application process is now closed for 2021. It will re-open in January 2022.
