Specialists in the field of engineering manufacturing for over 50 years, Tyne North Training Limited was founded by local engineering manufacturing companies who did not individually have the size or resources to operate their own training schools.
They worked together to form Tyne North Training as a Group Training Organisation to provide them with specialist support for the recruitment, selection and training of apprentices.
We have charitable status and exist solely to support employers and learners.
We currently have over 450 apprentices, in over 150 different local employers covering: Newcastle, Northumberland, Gateshead, North and South Tyneside, Washington, Sunderland and County Durham.
Here at Tyne North Training, we only employ Training Officers who are sector specialists so that all apprentices are supported by Training Officers who have first-hand experience of their role. In addition to that, all of our engineering Training Officers and some of the senior leadership team are former time-served apprentices.

A company limited by guarantee with charitable status, our Executive Committee is comprised of representatives from employer member companies to ensure our high level of support continues to be our main objective.
